The list
How this list is made
Nobody publishes an official traffic ranking of the web, so every "top websites" list is an estimate. This one combines two public, independent sources.
Membership comes from the Chrome UX Report (CrUX), Google's dataset of real Chrome page loads, which publishes the 1,000 most visited websites for the world and for each country. Subdomains are folded into their main domain.
Order comes from the Tranco research ranking (our list without Cloudflare Radar data). CrUX only says "top 1,000", not first or fiftieth, so the sites are sorted by their Tranco position. Regional lists rank sites by the number of the region's countries in which they are in the top 1,000, then by Tranco.
Adult, gambling, piracy and download-converter sites are left out. Treat ranks that sit close together as roughly equal.
Questions
Why is a site I use every day missing?
The list counts websites people open in the Chrome browser. Apps that are used mostly on phones, and sites that redirect to another domain, can rank lower than their audience suggests.
